Driving Lessons

STARTING DRIVING LESSONS

Starting Driving Lessons with Fitzgerald School of MotoringBefore starting your driving lessons you need to be 17 years old and hold a valid UK Provisional Driving Licence. You must also be able to read an old style number plate from a distance of 20.5 metres or 20 metres for a new style number with glasses or contacts if you need them.

You can apply for your provisional driving licence up to 3 months before you 17th birthday, by completing the D1 application form available from the Post Office and sending it to the DVLA together with the appropriate proof of identification and fee, or you can apply on line.

HOW MANY LESSONS WILL I NEED?

Thumbs Up for Fitzgerald School of MotoringThe Driving Standards Agency’s research shows that on average it takes 45 hours of professional tuition together with 22 hours of private practice to achieve driving test standard.
